The boycott by the southern film industry might be one of the reasons for the failure of ‘Kites’. However, the response to ‘Kites’ has not been as what Hrithik might have expected, he is still as busy. Failure in one film does not mean the end of the tunnel. Class is permanent and form is temporary is what some experts feel.
Hrithik too is a class actor. That is why he has film galore under his belt. His next will be with Zoya Akhtar. ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ is a tentative title of the film. ZNMD has Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol with the very beautiful Katrina in the lead.

This caused the South Indian film industry to take down ‘Kites’ from their theaters. However, an actor has to learn to take failures in his strides too.
The heartthrob, Hrithik seems to have done this to perfection. He is currently busy with his next project. He is preparing for the next sequel of Dhoom - ‘Dhoom – 3’. It is reported that Hrithik might be doing more sequels in the recent future.

The IIFA awards have just concluded. The controversy of the North-South divide came to fore, before the beginning of the awards day that was slated for Saturday. The South Indian film industry had ‘warned’ the Bollywood film fraternity from boycotting the celebrations.
In spite of all this, Hrithik Roshan remained a part of the IIFA awards and functions. This way he spelt more trouble for himself. ‘Kites’ became the first casualty. ‘Kites’ was brought down from most of the southern theaters. ‘Kites’, the most hyped film was the biggest disappointment for the Roshan clan. Preity posted the compliments on Hrithik’s Twitter page after seeing the movie. Preity said about Hrithik that he looked like a ‘God’ and that he did an excellent job. However, Hrithik was equally brave to say that Pree (Preity) was courageous in complementing him. “Don’t say it too loud, somebody might hear you.” However, Preity was philosophical in consoling Hrithik that it is the films that fail and not the actors.

‘Kites’ is in the second week now. As the days pass by, it will be difficult for Hrithik to think of ‘Kites’ as a success. ‘Kites’ in the second week still refuses to fly. It was actually days after the release, which Hrithik had admitted of the film’s failure to grip the attention of the audience, as he would have liked.
It would need a good study to know why the film fell flat on its face. Was it because, it had dialogues in a foreign language like Spanish? ‘Housefull’ too had dialogues from many more languages than ‘Kites’. However, the languages in ‘Housefull’ were mostly Indian while that of ‘Kites’ was not.
